“We celebrated our seniors tonight,” Upper Lake head coach Joe Fernandez said of Kurtz, Henry, Dutcher and Escue.

A handful of exhibitions matches also took place. Upper Lake’s Dylan Slater beat teammate Blake Talmage 8-7; Loans Arrow blanked her Kelseyville opponent 13-0; and Kelseyville’s Jensen defeated Upper Lake’s Rene Diaz 8-5.

Upper Lake’s wrestlers return to action Saturday, the girls in the Lady Eagle Invite at Del Oro High School in Loomis while the boys travel to the King of the Mat in Windsor.

The Cougars’ next conference match is a tri-meet against Middletown and Clear Lake next Wednesday in Lakeport at 5:30 p.m.
