LAKE COUNTY — The North State Modified Series presented by Protect the Harvest makes two stops at the Lakeport Speedway as part of is 2020 schedule.

The NSMS is scheduled to visit the quarter-mile paved oval at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport on May 23 for the Protect the Harvest 60, and on July 18 for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 60.

NSMS opens the season April 11 at Madera Speedway and visits Shasta Speedway in Anderson on May 2. After its first Lakeprt stop on May 23, NSMS stops at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka on June 27 before returning to Lakeport on July 18.

Madera Speedway hosts the Lucas Oil 60 on Aug. 8, and NSMS visits the Stockton 99 Speedway on Sept. 5. The modifieds race again on Sept. 19 at a site to be determined before closing out their points season Oct. 3 at the Shasta Speedway for the Lloyd Burton Against the Wind Modified Challenge.

NSMS will celebrate its top drivers from the 2019 season at the annual awards banquet Feb. 1 at the Granzella’s Restaurant Banquet Hall in Williams beginning at 6 p.m.
