Democratic Party paralyzed by hate
The Democrats are paralyzed by hate and that hate has immobilized our law-making bodies and debilitated our democracy. Their hate has divided our country, the likes of which we have not seen since the Civil War. When Nancy Pelosi stood up behind the President and tore up his State of the Union address, she disgraced her party and the nation. It was a vile, shameful act of contemptible disrespect and regardless of her proclaimed motives, anyone who watched should have been ashamed of her.
And what now, now that the impeachment trial is over and the president has been acquitted? We would think it was over and we could get back to working on America and making it stronger, but the Democrats have no such plans. We have not seen the end of their witch hunts. They have made it clear that they are not done with their investigations and for those who may be old enough to remember or who are students of history, their tactics and despotic interrogations are reminiscent of the McCarthy hearings.
The Democrats are bent on disruption. They never got over losing the election in 2016 and now they are making their best effort to have the 2020 election decided by tarnishing our president with accusations to sway public opinion. The Democrats would want the fight decided at the weight in, not the bout, rather than risk losing the contest. And though they would have us believe otherwise, that they are doing this for the good of the country, don’t believe them. It’s nothing more than the lowest form of politics, it’s dirty.
The Democrats hate Trump more than they love our country. They are so absorbed with hatred and animosity, so consumed by their antagonism for our president and those who support him, that they have lost their vision for America and why they were elected to serve. I can’t imagine how their constituency would be happy with their representatives spending all their time and tax-payer dollars beating their war drums rather than finding ways to work together to address our nation’s issues. They make no effort toward unifying or closing the great divide they have widened but when all is said and done, Nancy Pelosi may rip up the State of the Union, but she cannot tear up the accomplishments of the last three years. For that we should thank our president, Donald John Trump.

Surprised to see a challenge to Cecilia Aguiar-Curry for Assembly District 4.
I got my ballot today, and was surprised to see Cecilia Aguiar-Curry being challenged. I did a little research on the other Democrat, whose name is Sophia Racke, and she is simply a wonderful young lady. She and her team are a group of college students taking on the big money establishment. I’ve appreciated some things that Aguiar-Curry has done, but young people running for office makes my heart swell with joy! Sophia is like a breath of fresh air and exactly what we need, in every contest on the ballot, all across the country. Her internet presence seems pretty new, but she’s got some wonderful positions on preventing elder abuse and sustainable water management. I hope plenty of folks giver her their vote and their support. I know I did. Everyone had to start somewhere. If we keep voting for incumbents based only on experience, we never get anyone new. Her website is sophiaracke.org

Blazing Ann Coulter
Once again Ann Coulter blazes into the RB’s Opinion page (Feb. 7, 2020 ) with innuendo and alternative facts.
She labels all Democrats due to a bad decision by the Iowa Democratic Party. She labels Trump’s State of the Union speech “triumphant” yet fails to tell us that fact-checking shows over half of it to be false.
She then calls liberals “know nothing” and selects the comments of a few to prove her point.
And someone tell her that the economy is NOT booming. It isn’t even coming up to Obama’s rate. Then she mentions the “Muslim Ban” (again tell her that it was not listed as a ban because that would be illegal due to religious issues) but surprisingly adds this part of the law, “the President ‘find’ that the entry of the covered aliens ??? ‘would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.'” The White House offered no reason why this ‘ban’ was needed other than terrorism, but they left off some countries that did export terrorists and put on countries that did not. I don’t even want to get started on the bad decision on Kavanaugh.
