Voting corruption in Lake County?

Republicans win by reducing the number of voters generally (purposely establishing long and frustrating waiting lines at polling places) and using various methods to eliminate Democrat voters (many, many methods involving forms of race-ethnic elimination, and elaborate means of corrupting the voting process.)

In Lake County, ill-informed or possibly treasonous Republican voting-pole workers insisted that NPP or non-declared party voters needed to fill out forms declaring party affiliation in order to vote for a Presidential favorite on the ballot.
While they (several around the voting-pole table) insisted this was the case and a function of recent State law, it was in error, gross error, smelling like another of the Republican corrupted means to frustrate and eliminate a vote.

Whereas corruption of the voting process by Republicans is substantial and insidious, it should be seen as treasonous to Americans everywhere. But apparently the ignorance and importance of the voting process, the lack of its protection and obvious corruption, is just one more arrow in the heart of democracy, of a Republic of we the people living in a wasteland of swamp governance. Lake County, in California, is a good example of such a wasteland, a “good ol’ boy” rural-conservative governance ripping off the voting public in more ways than one.

Allocate pot money to help the Sheriff’s Department

I’m happy to see the County of Lake finally has some money available to promote employees and give them raises which is long pass time. But we are always short of money, at least that was the thought.

Also, I was very happy to see that the County of Lake was receiving over 3.1 million dollars of pot tax money. I realize that this money has to be appropriated to activities that the funds were raised for. But we have Sheriff Keithly, who I’ve known since he was a kid and his dad used to work for me, he is now involved in the pot enforcement team. Therefore, if he is out on a project and he needs help he calls other sheriffs for back up or for help or for security.

So, therefore, the Sheriff’s department, Brian Martin, is entitled to some of that pot money to be able to hire more deputies for the sheriff’s department, or give everyone funds like the County is doing to other employees that have been around for a long time and doing a good job, and to disburse the money fairly.

It is time for our board to see if they can help the Sheriff’s Department.

Ann Coulter thinks Democrats are stupid enough t believe what she says

Ann Coulter wrote a very strange opinion in the Record-Bee (March 6) telling us that Bernie Sanders is Trump’s greatest nightmare almost appears that she is asking Democrats to vote for Sanders if they want to beat Trump.

This must be why the Trump campaign requested that Trump supporters vote for Sanders in the South Carolina election. Biden polls much better against Trump than Sanders. Sanders is too much like Trump and will insult people for disagreeing with him. Sanders wants to change the country too quickly for most. But Coulter thinks he is the one to beat Trump. My guess is that Coulter thinks Democrats are stupid enough to believe what she says. “I am simply stating the facts.”

Legal resident aliens need representation too

At the February 6 District 5 Candidates Forum three of the four candidates showed a lack of understanding of the immigrant residents of District 5. The candidates were asked if they thought it was a supervisor’s responsibility to represent residents that are not eligible to vote due to immigration status. Citizenship is required to have voting rights.

Many residents of District 5 are legal Resident Aliens but not eligible to vote. They have so-called “green cards” or “work permits”. Some of them have been residents of Lake County for decades.

Also, please do not assume that a person who speaks Spanish is an illegal resident.
