KELSEYVILLE — Despite wins in first singles and first doubles, the Kelseyville High School tennis team dropped its season opener to the Willits Wolverines, 3-2, on Tuesday afternoon at the Gard Street courts in Kelseyville.
Winners for the Knights were Allison Bryant, 6-2, 6-0 over Angel Jacinto in first singles, and Hanna Scully and Rylan Lipscomb, 6-1, 7-5 in first doubles.
In other matches:
Manny Banuelos defeated Kelseyville’s Connor Molloy 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 in second singles; Emmy Villegas beat Kelseyville’s Robert Chavez 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 in third singles; and Kelseyville’s Alexis Gonzales and Evan Weller dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision in second doubles.
The Knights host Clear Lake on Monday at 4 p.m.
