CLEARLAKE— The City of Clearlake is pleased to announce Chief Andrew White has earned the Executive Certificate from the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). His POST Executive Certificate was presented at the August 20 City Council meeting by POST Assistant Executive Director Maria A. Sandoval, who has worked with Chief White for many years.
POST was established in 1959 to set minimum selection and training standards for California law
enforcement. More than 600 agencies participate in the POST program, including the City of Clearlake. The Executive Certificate is the highest attainable POST certificate and only 1738 Executive Certificates have been issued by POST since the program’s inception.
City Manager Alan Flora stated, “We are very proud of Chief White’s achievement. His dedication to the Clearlake Police Department and to our community is beyond measure. Chief White is a devoted leader not only to his team, but the entire organization. He maintains the continual desire to learn and improve personally in order to help make our city cleaner and safer.”
Chief White stated, “I am grateful for the support I have received in my role as chief including from the members of the police department, city officials, the community and my family. I look forward to continuing to serve amongst a very dedicated and passionate team as we strive to continually improve.”
