
NORTHERN CALIF.— According to CAL Fire officials, continued favorable weather conditions continue to aid firefighters in their efforts towards containment of regional fires. More than 15,000 firefighters today continue to battle over two dozen major fires and lightning complexes across California. As of press time Wednesday, there were over 400 lightning strikes in Northern California over a 24 hour period. Firefighters continue to monitor for additional lightning strike wildfires. As firefighters continue to make good progress towards containment on all the fires, and thanks to the efforts of firefighters two fires have been fully contained. Record-Bee contributing photographer Trett Bishop took these photos at various locations around the LNU Lightning Complex of fires affecting Lake and nearby counties, including Napa. Some of the locations were Butts Canyon Road, Snell Valley, the helibase on Butts Canyon Road and Pope Canyon Road. Bob Minenna snapped photos Monday as a portion of the LNU Lightning Complex fires burning on Butts Canyon Road near the Lake County and Napa County line approached the Guenoc Ranch.
