Peaceful transition of power?
Last week our President told us just how he feels about our democracy.
A reporter asked him, “Will you commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transferal of power after the election?”
Trump’s reply, “Well, we’re going to have to see what happens.”
Trump then complains about mail ballots. The reporter then says, “I understand that, but people are rioting. Do you commit to making sure that there’s a peaceful transferal of power?
”Trump’s response: “We want to have … Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very trans — we’ll have a very peaceful … there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There’ll be a continuation.” If nothing else, Trump’s disdain of our democracy should be enough to boot him.

Grateful that you are still here
Amidst all the chaos of the new normal you have created an aura of hope by featuring our beautiful Lake County children and their endeavors, academic, athletic, all of it.
Thank you so much for making my day, as I read your morning paper with my first cup of coffee today.
The Mansell family has appeared many times, in many capacities in your paper and we are so grateful that you are still here.
