LAKEPORT>>> Firefighters quickly pounced on the Lyons Fire in North Lakeport on Tuesday afternoon, a blaze that threatened homes in the Lakeside Heights subdivision and neighboring areas as well as Lakeside Hospital. Homes in the immediate area were temporarily evacuated. The forward progress of the fire was stopped about two hours after the blaze broke out. The source of the fire is being investigated.
