Treppa Marcks (left) and AJ Adams pose with the Bass Bowl trophy after Clear Lake’s 37-30 victory over the Kelseyville Knights in the 10th annual game between archrivals, which took place on Nov. 1, 2019 at Don Owens Stadium in Lakeport. The win was a long time coming for the host Cardinals, who ended a six-game losing streak to Kelseyville. Marcks, Clear Lake’s All-League running back, played a major role in the victory, especially during a fourth quarter when he kept moving the chains and using up precious time on the clock, including a key first down with a second-effort lunge late in the fourth quarter. The game marked the 2019 season finale for both teams. They are scheduled to meet again on Feb. 5 in Kelseyville, the league opener for both teams, if there are no further COVID-19 delays. The first official day of practice for the 2020 season is Dec. 7 with games slated the begin in early January. (Photos courtesy of Trett Bishop)
