LAKE COUNTY>> As we fell back further into the autumn season, Lake County was greeted by the changing foliage of trees and the natural colors associated with this time of year. The big ticket news items this week was, of course, the Nov. 3 General Election where a number of state and local races will directly impact the county and California for the next four years and beyond, but COVID-19 was also in the headlines as Gov. Gavin Newsom pledged more testing with a new lab. But before all the Election Day hoopla the county’s residents, especially the young trick or treaters were greeted with a number of events to celebrate the popular holiday including the Ely Stage Stop and the Moose Lodge in Clearlake Oaks. This are photos reflecting news items from Oct. 31 to November 5 courtesy of freelance photographer Bob Minenna and the Ely Stage Stop and County Museum.
