If Lake County’s high school football teams ever start the 2020 season, nearly four months delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lower Lake Trojans will be as ready as they can be thanks to the hard work of Lower Lake head coach Jeremy Jakubowski and his staff of assistants. The Trojans were hard at work again Monday doing conditioning and a handful of other drills that don’t require a football or close contact. The state’s football teams are waiting on word from the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) when or if they can begin the 2020 season. The first day of official practice was supposed to be Dec. 7, but that can’t happen until teams are allowed to run close-contact drills with a shared football. Stay tuned. (Photos by Bob Minenna)
