Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College partners with Sonoma State University
We are excited to announce the new partnership between the Sonoma State University and the Lake County Campus of Woodland Community college! This partnership will bring a bachelor’s degree completion program to Lake County in Fall 2021. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management will be offered by the School of Extended and International Education (SEIE) at Sonoma State University. All courses will be taught by Sonoma State University faculty either in Lake County or online.
The costs for this Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program are comparable with the campus-based program offered at Sonoma State University. Students in this program are eligible for financial aid and should file their 2021-2022 FAFSA application as soon as possible for maximum aid eligibility. KELSEYVILLE
COVID-19 positive results shut down KVUSD until January 4
As a result of positive COVID-19 test results among Kelseyville Unified School District (KVUSD) employees, the District has closed all school offices, including the district office. Offices will reopen after Winter Break on January 4. Until Winter Break begins on December 18, all students will attend school full-time via Distance Learning. The small cohorts of students that were on campus will transition to distance learning until further notice.
Superintendent Dave McQueen said, “The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. We wish our COVID-positive colleagues a speedy recovery.” The affected employees were not in contact with any students and contact tracing is underway for any adults at risk for infection. The affected staff members are currently in quarantine and will not return to work until such time as Lake County Public Health determines it is safe to do so.
KVUSD Food Services will continue to provide meals as it has throughout the pandemic and Superintendent McQueen will remain in close contact with Lake County Public Health Director Dr. Gary Pace about pandemic-related issues.
Parents should direct questions to their school site. Although the offices are closed, phone lines will be monitored and calls returned. Email is the best way to communicate with site administrators. Visit www.kvusd.org and click on the District menu; then choose Staff Directory to send an email.
