With early morning sunlight striking the mountains above Lake County's Northshore on Monday, the first snowfall of the season was readily evident following a weekend storm that dropped the white stuff as low as 2,500 feet, with greater accumulations at higher altitudes, as was the case in the Northshore mountains. Lower altitudes received much-needed rainfall from the storm, though not enough to generate any significant runoff. Clear Lake stood at .58 feet on the Rumsey Gauge on Monday, up slightly from Friday. More rain is expected again midway and there another chance for rain this coming weekend. (Photo by Brian Sumpter)
