KELSEYVILLE
Kelsyevill Food Pantry food distribution third Friday of each month
The Kelseyville Food Pantry would like to offer thanks to the Hunger Task Force of Lake County, and to Sutter Lakeside Hospital for their very generous donations to the food pantry.
Since 2012, the Kelseyville Food Pantry, a collaboration of the Presbyterian, United Methodist and Universalist churches in Kelseyville have been feeding the hungry in not just Kelseyville, but all of Lake County twice a month.
With the generosity of these two organizations, we will offer, beginning Friday, January, January 15, an additional panty to supply our guests with a bag of canned items. The distribution will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the third Friday of each month.
Our monthly giveaways, which include non-perishable items, as well as fresh produce, eggs and bread, will continue on the second and fourth Tuesdays, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., all at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, located at 5340 Third Street, behind West America Bank in Kelseyville. Everyone is welcome our only criterial is that you are hungry and that you share what you cannot use.
If you would like to become a volunteer, we could use people to shop for canned items and be reimbursed, and we could always use a few more socially-distanced hands to help on Pantry day to fill the bags. Please call Julie Berry at the KPC office at 707-279-1104, or email her at 2844berry@sbcglobal.nbet

LAKE COUNTY
Lake County Holiday Fund drive continues
The Lake County Holiday Fund is now accepting donations at any branch of Umpqua or West America banks. These donations go toward the purchase of food for residents of Lake County only, and are much appreciated by all who receive them.
This season, due to the coronavirus, the recipients got gift cards to either Foods, Etc in Clearlake, or Bruno’s Shop Smart, in Lakeport, depending on their address.
Last year the donations were a bit shy of where they had been in years past, mostly due to the loss of income and residents due to the fires we have suffered through. All are hopeful that we might be able to collect a reasonable amount this season to use for next year.
Anyone who donates may write a dedication, if desired, and the information will be printed in the Record Bee.
