UKIAH — Youth basketball and volleyball classes offered by the City of Ukiah’s Recreation Department begin Saturday and run through Jan. 30 at the Alex Rorabaugh Center.
Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis and some of the classes are already filled. All of the classes have a $75 sign-up fee.
Co-ed basketball classes are offered for grades 3-5 (one slot remains for the 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. class), grades 4-8 (five slots remain for the 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. class) and grades 9-12 (eight slots remain for the 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. class).
A girls-only basketball class for grades 6-8 has already filled.
Volleyball classes include beginners grades 5-8 (three slots remain for the 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. class). An advanced grades 5-8 class and a high school grades 9-12 class have already filled.
Classes meet each of four Saturdays — Jan. 9, Jan. 16, Jan. 23 and Jan. 30.
