Lakeport Women’s Civic Club plans raffle of gift baskets for scholarships
The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club will be celebrating it’s 100th year of service to our community this March. Throughout that time the club has, through the generous donations of local businesses, individuals and their own investment earnings, been able to provide tens of thousands of dollars to Westlake Community Park, our local Veterans Post, Lucerne Adult Day Care, and Lake Family Resource Center just to name a few.
At this time, members of the LWCC are purchasing goods, gift cards and certificates from local businesses and creating baskets for a raffle that will provide this year’s two Vocational Scholarships for $1,000 each to go to a Lake County high school graduate or a recipient continuing their education.
The three baskets are packed with goods or certificates from local restaurants, wineries, hair salons, bookstores, gift stores and other wonderful miscellaneous contributions!!
Your $5 or $20 will go a long way in making sure these scholarships happen for some ambitious young graduate.
An LWCC member will deliver these baskets up to two hours away from Lakeport…Ukiah, Sacramento, Chico, Santa Rosa, etc…so tell a friend!
If you wish to co tribute and win a beautiful basket full of treasures you may send your check to: LWCC P. O. Box 52 Lakeport, CA 95453. Tickets are one for $5 or 5 for $20.
If you have questions you may reach Cheryl Robbins at 707-533-9375.
