LOWER LAKE— Ruth M. Schindler, at 100 years of age, is one of the few living World War II Veterans in the county. Schindler was honored on March 2 by the Veterans Administration and Hospice Services of Lake County. “On behalf of Hospice Services of Lake County staff and volunteers and the Veteran’s Administration, please accept our thanks and gratitude,” read the letter presented at the ceremony.
