LAKEPORT— The Rotary Club of Lakeport will conduct an online auction this weekend that coincides with its drive-through Crab Feed.

The Crab Feed pick up, which is now completely sold out, will commence at 5 p.m. Saturday, at the Lake County Fairgrounds and end at 7 p.m.  Those who purchased meal tickets can pickup their dinners from Rotary Club volunteers between these times.

The online auction, which will offer many exciting experiences and items as well as delicious desserts prepared by some of Lake County’s most talented home cooks and local chefs, will begin at 9 a.m. this Friday and run until Sunday at 9 p.m.  The dessert portion of the auction will end at 2 p.m. on Saturday with these yummy treats available for pick up at the Fairgrounds on Saturday.  The main auction will run through Sunday at 9 PM.

All auction items can be previewed at the Rotary Club’s website www.lakeportrotary.org.  You can also get your bidding account set up and ready to go for auction open on Friday!

“If you have missed the dozens of live and silent auction events that we’re used to in Lake County,” commented event organizer Jennifer Strong, “this virtual auction should satisfy even the most hard core auction junkies. The available packages are top notch and even appeal to the out of town folks!”

Some of the experiences include a gourmet lunch and barrel tasting in Patti and Bill Brunetti’s wine cave.  They will host up to six people at their stunning property overlooking Big Valley for sips of their home-fermented wines straight out of the barrels.  That will be followed by a full lunch in the cave.

If you’re looking for something exciting, Tom and Ruth Lincoln are offering a flight for two over Lake County in their beautiful Beechcraft Baron.  To make the experience more enticing, after a circle around the county the lucky couple will be flown to the Sierra foothills for lunch at the airport Wings Restaurant.  There they will be treated to the lunch of their choice and a front seat view of the airplane arrivals and departures at this popular general aviation airport before the return flight to Lampson Field.

Or maybe you’d prefer to see Lake County through the eyes of its Sheriff, Brian Martin.  He has offered to take the lucky bidders in his patrol vehicle for a tour of his many facilities around the county, including his popular bed and breakfast, also know as the county lockup.  And to fill out the experience, he’ll treat you to lunch.

For you old salts, bid on Captain Bill Kearney and wife Dana’s patio boat excursion around Clear Lake for eight lucky souls.  Knowing Bill and Dana, there will definitely be food and drink aboard and a number of colorful sights as you cruise beautiful Clear Lake.

Cole Creek Equestrian owners John and Joanne Van Eck have donated a wagon ride for up to 12 people through downtown Kelseyville.  You can expect to wine taste, beer taste, shop the many quaint stores and enjoy a bite to eat, all the while adoring the beautiful draft horses that they keep and show.

Or maybe you’ve always wanted to learn how to can those incredibly yummy items out of the garden.  Jennifer Strong is donating up a day (or more if it brings in high bidders) to learn how to do just that in her beautiful garden.

Then there is that “Keeping it Local Gift Card Tree” covered in over $1000 in local business gift cards purchased by our Rotarians!

There are also a number of wine, beer and food experiences by the O’Meara Brothers, Ripe Choice Farms, Tiny Diner, Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon and many, many more.

But wait, there’s more.  Dessert creations by Tina Scott, Ripe Choice Catering, Jeff Havrilla, and Laura McAndrews Sammel await your bid numbers.

See everything at www.lakeportrotary.org.  Raise your paddles often and thumb your nose at COVID.

All proceeds benefit the community service projects of the Rotary Club of Lakeport.  And “thank you’ to our Premier Sponsors – Adventist Health Clearlake, ProFarms, Calpine, Strong Financial and Kelseyville Lumber.
