Jerod Adams (left) and Nick Gillotte won the 33rd annual Clear Lake Team Tournament with a two-day weight of 58.77 pounds, including the big bag of the tournament (34.62 pounds on Sunday). The two-day tournament sponsored by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Mendo Mill Home Center opened Saturday when Adams and Gillotte got off to a good start with 24.15 pounds. JP Gano and Angelo Alorro were the only other team to crack 50 pounds (51.95) in the 150-team field. Final results of the tournament were delayed a full day because of a laptop malfunction used by tournament officials to record team weights. Twenty-five teams weighed in more than 40 pounds. Big-fish honors went to Scott Mackenzie with a 12.79-pounder caught Saturday, the biggest fish taken in the tournament’s history. Mackenzie’s team placed seventh overall with 47.37 pounds.
