CLHS freshman just five seconds behind boys winner

WILLITS — Clear Lake High School freshman Hannah Garrity was the fastest girl in the field and the second-quickest runner overall Wednesday during a four-team Coastal Mountain Conference cross country meet on the 2.87-mile Willits course.

A single race was held combining boys and girls. Credo runners also participated in the meet, which was the season finale for all four teams.

Garrity crossed the finish line in 19 minutes, 21 seconds, only five seconds behind boys winner Travis Price of Technology (19:16) and 37 seconds in front of third-place finisher John Barrett of Technology (19:58).

Also for Clear Lake, Luke McQuaid finished 11th in 22:15, Luis Aguilar was 12th in 23:15, Riana Kniss was 15th in 26:32. and Parisee Cemendtaur was 22nd in 38:53.
