The weekend races are split between Saturday and Sunday. The Redwood Region, which includes riders from Lake, Mendocino, Glenn, Colusa, Tehama, Butte, Plumas, Shasta, Lassen, Siskiyou, Modoc, Del Norte, Humboldt and Trinity counties, is the final region to compete Saturday following the Repack Region (starts at 8 a.m.) and the Capital Region (starts at 12:30 p.m.).

On Sunday, the East Bay Region competes at 9 a.m. followed by the Central Region at 12:45 p.m.

Riders in all regions race on a course that is 8.2 miles long and features an 800-foot increase in elevation. While there are several divisions, all riders race just one lap.

The top five riders in each division receive medals. Middletown’s riders chalked up many medals in the first two races of the season, all of them held at Six Sigma.

Prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March of 2020, the NorCal Cyling League rotated its races to a handful of venues throughout Northern California. Riders competed for individual points and team points. This year there are no team standings.
