ST. HELENA — Summer Anderson won the girls high jump while teammate Elizabeth Walker turned in second- and third-place finishes for Kelseyville High School during a Coastal Mountain Conference track and field meet Wednesday in St. Helena.
Joining Kelseyville and the host Saints in the field were Willits, Cloverdale, Calistoga and Sonoma Academy high schools.
Girls
Anderson cleared 4 feet, 4 inches to win the high jump. Teammate Walker placed second in the 100 with a time of 14.21 seconds. Mia Hernandez of St. Helena won the event in 13.55. Cherish Krohn of Kelseyville came in third in 14.34.
Walker added a third-place finish in the shotput with a toss of 23 feet, 2 inches. The top throw of 29-7 went to Sabrina Wells of Calistoga.
Also for Kelseyville, Carly Vanderwall placed fifth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 7:14.50. Winner Harper McClain of St. Helena finished in 4:59.29, the 29th-best time in Redwood Empire history.
Frosh-soph boys
Kelseyville won five events in the frosh-soph boys division, led by double-event winner Aiden Rivas, who was first in the 100 (12.93) and 200 (27.11). His teammate, Jesus Ledesma, was second in the 100 (13.64) and 200 (28.06). Also for Kelseyville, Anthony Matias was third in the 100 (15.08) and 200 (32.02).
Elliott Mayo added another first in the 1,600 (5:47.98), Marco Cortez won the discus in 60-7, and Matthew Anagnostopoulos was first in the shotput at 31-9.
Other Kelseyville placers were Enrique Recinas, second in the shotput (31-6 ½) and in the discus (60-0), and Cortez, third in the shotput (26-11 ½).
