Imagine

Imagine a science fiction story where the government crawls in bed with China to make a virus to scare its citizens underground, to control them, to make them afraid to go out or come in contact with one another, to make rules as to where they may go and how and with whom, to cull great swaths of the population and to make the rest endlessly dependent on pharmaceuticals. Not so science fiction. Wish it were.

A simple solution to resident’s issues with cannabis

Having just read the letter to the editor of May 14 from Debbe Blake and her griping about a possible cannabis farm, there is a simple solution to her issues I must reply to. She mentions commercial trucks (big rig tractor-trailer 18 wheelers?) and that in her opinion they will be running up and down the road every hour every minute 24/7 is ridiculous. What do commercial trucks do now that would be any different? They are not going to run down children, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, sheep, cows etc. That’s crazy to think otherwise. Fire danger is everywhere in Lake County and the Sheriff has already declared an emergency. We will continue to have our clear skies, the lakes, fresh air, green hills already turning brown, the wineries and shopping of all kinds. They aren’t going anywhere and will get better now that the tide has turned on the pandemic thanks to a Democrat administration doing their jobs. I got to shop last night without a mask on in over a year in the Oaks. It was great. Debbe complains about the smell etc. which all anti-cannabis people use as an excuse which brings us to the solution she said herself that she doesn’t like living in that Lake County. The solution: Move if all that bothers you so much and the sky is falling. Or adapt, your choice.
