On Saturday May 29, Angela Ratto’s third store will have its Grand Opening celebration. The store is in the heart of Lakeport in the former “Curry Furniture” building at 355 No. Main St.
Refreshments will be served and there will be a free raffle of a new 43″ flat screen TV. Raffle tickets will be available to visitors today through May 31. The winning ticket will be drawn on Tuesday, June 1. You do not have to be present to win.
In March 2020, just before Lake County stores were closed down due to the pandemic, Ratto’s store at 101 S. Main St. filled a 4,500 sq. ft space. It remains full of memories with spaces decorated and run by 30 vendors. Her second store opened across the street at 102 S. Main St. and holds a large variety of collectibles and one-of-a-kind treasures. One can find items ranging from $5 costume jewelry to $1000 worth of english antiques and more.
Ratto doesn’t just sell merchandise, she sells memories. After wildfires destroyed dozens of homes, people turned to her stores where to re-build their homes.
“They were looking for something, anything that reminded them of something they lost,” Ratto said.
Ratto now aims to make Lakeport an “antiques destination” where people will get out of their cars and truly appreciate all that the town and its shops have to offer.
Ratto can be reached by phone or text at 707-245-1502. Stores are closed Sundays and Wednesdays; hours are 11 am to 6 pm.
