LAKE COUNTY >>> Middletown was a busy mecca of activity this weekend. The 60th annual Middletown Days celebration on Saturday featured a full day of activities including the traditional parade, barbecue, and team roping. The fun continues this coming weekend. Also on Saturday, the MAC’s presented a celebration of Juneteenth. In addition to enjoying West African drumming and live dance music with Midnight Sun Massive, soul reggae and calypso, attendees were also treated to a Kenyan Dinner by local Chef Feswali, funds to benefit the MAC. (Bob Minenna Photography) The Reynolds family participate in the Middletown Days Parade Saturday with their entry "Breaking Out of COVID." The family has had an entry in the parade every year since 2006 when Jim proposed to Charise in this very location. The family is counting down their top six reasons they can't wait for COVID to be just a tiny speck in the rear view mirror. Middletown was a busy mecca of activity this weekend as the Middletown Art Center presented a Juneteenth Celebration on the same day.
