Volunteers of all ages worked hard and helped The City of Lakeport collect over 1,000 pounds of trash and debris from Lakeport’s shoreline on June 19.

Some volunteers focused on the area between Library Park and the site of the new Lakefront Park on North Main Street. Another group led by City Councilmember, Michael Froio tackled the shoreline along Lakeshore Boulevard. Volunteers also cleaned the shoreline in the areas of Lucerne Harbor Park and Redbud Park in the City of Clearlake.

The clean-up event was coordinated by the AmeriCorps Civic Spark Fellows in the Lake County Water Resources Department, Lake County Special Districts and the Lakeport Public Works Department.
