OLIVEHURST — The Westshore Little League 10-and-under Baseball All-Stars made quick work of Plumas Lake Little League on Thursday evening, rolling to a 22-5 win in four innings at the District 2 Tournament in Olivehurst.

Westshore, now 2-0 in the double-elimination competition, draws Sutter Area Little League in the championship bracket finals Saturday at 7 p.m. The winner of that game advances into the District 2 finals on July 7 and will play the winner of the consolation division. The Westshore-Sutter loser plays again Monday at 8 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.

Westshore took an early lead against Plumas Lake on D’Avian Horn’s RBI double in the first inning and put the finishing touches on its lopsided victory with a nine-run fourth. Horn, Chase Allred, Landon Hodder, Nathan Heath, Tino Cruz and Paxton Villanueva all drove in runs in the fourth inning.

Westshore finished with 19 hits.

Winning pitcher Jorge Garcia worked the first three innings and allowed five runs on five hits while striking out six.
