OLIVEHURST — The Westshore Little League 10-and-under Baseball All-Stars beat Sutter Area Little League10-5 on Saturday night to advance to the championship round of the District 2 Tournament in Olivehurst.
With victories over Marysville (12-0), Plumas Lake (22-5) and now Sutter Area, Westshore is now 3-0 in the double-elimination tournament. Westshore draws the winner of the consolation bracket, which won’t be determined until Tuesday night, in the first championship game Wednesday at 7 p.m. The consolation bracket winner will have to defeat Westshore in successive games to claim the District 2 title, otherwise the championship goes to Westshore.
No details of the win over Sutter Area were reported to the Record-Bee.
Peach Bowl, Sutter Buttes, Plumas Lake and Sutter Area were still alive in the consolation bracket going into Monday’s action.
