Sixteen players were in attendance Monday although more than 20 players have taken part in past workouts. Like all of the county’s high school teams, Upper Lake had its 2020 season canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which means only a handful of varsity players are back from the last full year of football (2019). The Cougars have a full compliment of 10 games on their 2021 schedule, with the season opener set for Aug. 27 in Tomales. The first home game is Sept. 10 against Crystal Springs.
