ROSEVILLE — All American Speedway in Roseville will host the rescheduled North State Modified Series vs. Jaws Gear & Axle Modifieds race July 24 while also serving as the host for the second annual Bob Lehman Classic.
The crowded race card includes the $1,000-to-win, 60-lap race presented by Economy Heating and Air, the NASCAR Berco Redwood Late Model Twin 35-lap features, Riebes Auto Parts Super Stocks, F4s, junior Late Models, the BMR Drivers Academy, and Mini-Cup/Bando racing. All race tickets will be sold online beginning later this week at www.AllAmericanSpeedway.com
The touring North State Modified Series, which is presented by Protect the Harvest, is running against the NASCAR Division II Jaws Gear & Axle Modifieds for the first time. The race was initially set for July 10 at All American Speedway but postponed because of extremely high temperatures. Each division runs in accordance with its own respective rulebook and on its own tires, but both divisions are eligible for the posted awards, which include $1,000 to the main event winner.
Other cash awards include $150 to take the green flag, and Authority Heating & Air bonuses of $250 to the leaders on lap five and lap 55.
Drivers in both divisions earn points against their own division’s competitors. Former All American Speedway modified champion Scott Winters of Tracy leads the North State Modified Series points race by 40 points over Lakeport’s Ian Elliott. Anderson’s Keith Bloom, Klamath Falls, Oregon’s Rich Cobb, and Cloverdale’s Dustin DeRosier round out the top five.
Eric Price of Rio Linda leads in the Jaws Modifieds point standings over 2020 champion Jason Philpot of Sacramento. Colfax’s Ralph Bailey, Foresthill’s Jon Yourd, and North Highlands’ Rick Andersen.
The North State Modified Series would not be possible without the support of Protect the Harvest, Lucas Oil, Economy Heating & Air, Sullivan Construction and Masonry, Hoosier Tire West, Sunoco Race Fuels, Naake Suspension, Five Star Bodies, Racer Bling, Mark & Sharon Baldwin, Scribner Plastics, Mort Houston, McMurray & Sons Roofing, Frank’s Radios, Supercuts, Vogel’s RVs, and Authority Heating & Air.
