
LAKE COUNTY — Sign-ups are now open for the 38th annual Lake County Amateur Golf Championship on Aug. 21-22 at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.
The $110 entry fee includes two rounds of tournament golf, the prize fund, trophies, lunch and tournament tee prizes.
The Amateur is divided into divisions for men’s scratch, net, senior and senior net golfers. Matt Wotherspoon, a top area golfer who will be playing college golf at Cal State San Bernardino in the upcoming season, is the defending scratch champion. Other defending champions are senior champion Juan Lopez, net champion Sean Mullins, and senior net champ Brian Stork.
