The husband-and-wife team of Michael and Katelyn Dodd are the new head co-coaches of the Middletown High School boys soccer squad, which officially opens the 2021 season on Monday with the first day of practice. The Mustangs held a voluntary open field workout Thursday at the high school with their new coaches looking on. Michael Dodd is a former collegiate kicker in football and this is his first high school head coaching job. Middletown’s boys went without a league win in 2019. The 2020 season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Middletown soccer teams have new head coaches this season as Ashley Hart, a Middletown alum, is taking over the girls program.
