Players from the Middletown High School boys and girls soccer sqauds split up into separate teams for a scrimmage Thursday evening at the high school where a good time appeared to be had by all, including Audias Pamatz and Amber Xavieron. Both squads are returning to action for the first time since the 2019 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They officially open the 2021 campaign Monday with the first day of practice, and they’ll be in action a little more than a week later when non-league play opens. North Central League I action starts at the end of the month and continues through the end of October with the North Coast Section playoffs to follow in November. (Photos by Brian Sumpter)
