Kelseyville High School varsity volleyball assistant coach works with (from left) Kasandra Villalobos, Larue Furlani and Kaylei Davis during a team practice last week in Kelseyville. The Knights, defending North Central League I champions, open a new season with quite a few new faces Saturday in the Rancho Cotate Tournament at Rohnert Park. They’ll open their league schedule a week from Tuesday at home against the NCL I’s newest member, Roseland University Prep of Santa Rosa. Like all of the county’s volleyball teams, the Knights lost their 2020 season to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to team cuts, the varsity squad had 15 players. Some of those players will move down to the junior varsity squad. (Photos by Brian Sumpter)
