
LAKEPORT— The Lake County Fair is just around the corner opening day is Sept. 2, 2021, and racing through Sept. 5, 2021. Thursday gate open at 6 PM, starting with the Blue-Ribbon Dinner and the 8 p.m. grand opening with Grand Marshal Calpine at the Geysers and Volunteers of the Year the Kane Family, kicking off the community grandstand event “Guns N Hoses”. It’s sure to be entertaining as local law enforcement square off against local fire in some fantastic fun events coordinated by our own Mike Pascoe (CA Fish and Wildlife) and Superman Coach Aaron Jameson.
Fantastic Friday’s Headliner will be Mud Boggs, sponsored by Twin Pine Casino at 7 p.m. Starting the Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, the Junior auction with brunch at 10 AM and auction at noon. The grandstand Power Wheels Derby at 1 p.m. (There is still time to get your kids entered) with the headliner at 7 p.m. with all the big boys crash and bash Destruction Derby. Sunday is Fiesta Day and the wild and crazy boat races at 7 p.m. sponsored by Lake County Tribal Health.
This will be a fun country fair with local music, carnival (with kiddie rides in the main area), great food and wares and community exhibits at their finest. Pre-sale tickets at local businesses now or at the fair office this week Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or Tuesday, Thursday 1 to 6 p.m. Extra parking during Fair at Tribal Health with afternoon Shuttle by Angela’s Rides.
