LAKE COUNTY — Clear Lake High School landed a county-best four players on the 2021 edition of the All-Lake County team as selected by the Lake County Record-Bee.

At least one player from each of the county’s five varsity volleyball teams was honored. League and overall records, All-League voting, statistics and input from the county’s coaches are used as criteria in selecting the team, which is broken up into a first team with a most valuable player as well as a second team.

Seven players were named to the first team and five to the second team in 2021. All those selected attended a photo shoot Dec. 19 at the Lake County Courthouse Museum in downtown Lakeport. Museum officials graciously made the facility available on a Sunday to accommodate the Record-Bee.

This year’s first team features most valuable player Raina Clifton of Clear Lake High School, teammates Sydney Howe and Zoey Pepper, Upper Lake’s Zoey Petrie and Lexy Wurm, and Kelseyville’s Larue Furlani and Emily Sandoval. All are seniors.

Second-team honors were bestowed on juniors Madison Noble of Upper Lake, Camille Schaffer of Middletown, Avery Adamcyk of Lower Lake, Sierra Bruch of Clear Lake, and sophomore Jayden Paulich of Kelseyville.

Raina Clifton of Clear Lake is the All-County most valuable player.

Besides Clear Lake’s four players, Upper Lake and Kelseyville each had three players honored while Middletown and Lower Lake had one apiece.

Clear Lake finished 20-6 overall and 12-4 in the North Central League I standings (third) while Upper Lake was 13-7 overall and 10-2 in the NCL II standings (second). Both teams qualified for postseason play.
