State officials provide information on activation of State Operations Center

Gov. Gavin Newsom has activated the State Operations Center in Mather to actively coordinate the state’s response to ongoing statewide winter storms and to work closely with local, federal and private sector partners to protect impacted communities.

California’s road crews and emergency responders have been working around the clock through exceptionally dangerous weather conditions to keep roadways clear and the power on.

The Governor and his cabinet officials are also closely monitoring the situation and will continue to take action as needed over the coming days to keep Californians safe.
