Lake County Fair Foundation to host February fundraiser
The Lake County Fair Foundation is hosting a February fundraiser to support the goal of improving the county’s fairgrounds and hosting educational events.
The 3rd Annual Wrangler Round-Up Dinner and Dance will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at Fritch Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St. in Lakeport.
The evening will include a barbecue Meal and a no-host bar, plus live music provided by a local band, the Time Travelers. There also will be a live auction, raffle, and a dessert auction.
The cost is $50 per person or $90 per couple. Table sponsorships also are available.
Proceeds support the nonprofit foundation’s efforts at the fairgrounds, which include raising funds to purchase equipment, renovate facilities, and provide outreach to the community regarding agriculture and natural resources.

The next Lake County Fair Foundation meeting will take place at the fairgrounds at 6 PM at the Fairgrounds on January 10. Community members are encouraged to attend and get involved in order to preserve the local fair into the future.

LEDAC meeting to focus on elections and city projects
The next LEDAC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 7:30 to 9 a.m. via Zoom. Meetings are open to the public.
In December, the Lakeport City Council reappointed Bill Eaton and Pam Harpster and selected JoAnn Saccato to serve two years terms on the Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee. At its meeting this week, the Council approved a 12th member for the committee, designating a position for Sutter Lakeside Hospital. Scott Knight, chief administrative officer for Sutter Lakeside Hospital, will be joining us. Welcome to all.
Elections for chair, vice chair and secretary will be conducted and a meeting schedule for 2022 will be discussed. Work will continue on the next Economic Development Strategic Plan for Lakeport, which will be presented to the City Council later this year.
Updates on city projects will be presented by City Manager Kevin Ingram and Community Development Director Jenni Byers.
Members and the public are encouraged to provide information about organization and agency activities and events. We look forward to your participation.
