UKIAH — Lower Lake High School wrestlers Bryan Gudino and Gabriel “Gordo” Ambriz nailed down weight division championships Saturday during the Redwood Empire Classic at Ukiah High School.
Gudino not only won the 106-pound weight class, but he was named the tournament’s outstanding lightweight.
“That little guy is such a beast,” Lower Lake head coach Troy Dahneke said.
Ambriz dominated the field at 132 pounds, according to Dahneke.
“Shout out to Ukiah for running one awesome, awesome tournament,” Dahneke said. “It was action packed and I can’t wait to go back.”
Lower and Willits travel to St. Helena on Tuesday to close out the Coastal Mountain Conference season.
