ROHNERT PARK — Jaydyn Poe filled up the stats sheet for the Upper Lake High School junior varsity girls basketball team on Thursday evening as the Cougars beat the Credo Gryphon 57-21 in North Central League II action at Rohnert Park.

Poe led the Cougars with 12 points, seven steals and four assists while Kali Minnis added nine points and three rebounds. Another big contributor was Keira McCormack with seven points and six rebounds. Lupita Sanchez, Hope Marcks and Rainy Minton added six points apiece.

JV boys

In JV boys NCL II action, Credo defeated Upper Lake 50-40.

“Up until the fourth quarter it was close,” Upper Lake head coach Thomas Santana said. “We got down by eight points, got back even, but we couldn’t get by their pressure.”

Jonathan Barnes’ 12 points led the Cougars while James Stiritz and Nicholas Barnes added seven points apiece.

Upper Lake’s JV boys return to action Tuesday in Tomales before returning home to close out the season Wednesday against Victory Christian Academy and Thursday against Sonoma Academy.
