KELSEYVILLE — Gene Holdrenried pitched five innings for the victory Friday as the Kelseyville High School junior varsity baseball team beat Cloverdale 14-8 in a North Central League I game at Kelseyville.
It was the league opener for the Knights, who improved to 5-1 overall.
Max Hommer, Trey Broyles, J.C. Calvillo and Alex Cabrera had two hits apiece for the Knights. Hommer and Cabrera also had doubles.
Landon Johnson pitched the final two innings.
Kelseyville returns to action Friday in Willits at 4 p.m.
