LAKEPORT– The Soper Reese Theatre reopened last week, after being closed for over two years due to COVID-19, with the World renowned jazz group The Ben Rosenblum Trio. Rosenblum, a Juilliard trained musician, returned with his friends to the Soper Reese for the fourth time on April15, and along with the audience, created what seemed more like a family reunion. Organizers noted that it truly reflected the importance of having a place where the community can come together. They added that while the isolation of the past two years has been tough, it has made us even more aware of how important having a place to come together is in our daily lives.

The theatre staff and volunteers noted that they wish to thank the community for their patience and generosity over the past two years. “We are committed to continue to live up to the vision of the Soper Reese Community Theatre to: Provide a professional venue for the performing arts in Lake County.”
