WILLITS — Winning pitcher Aly Aguirre struck out 10 as Konocti defeated Baechtel 7-3 in middle school softball action Tuesday afternoon at Willits.
Konocti second baseman Heidi Ortega went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and made two nice plays in the field, according to Konocti head coach Luis Perez.
“We played good defense today,” Perez said as Konocti squared its season record at 6-6. “The pitching was there, the defense was there.”
Konocti hosts Lucerne on Thursday.
