Don Owens Stadium at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport is the home of the Cardinals, but also — at least temporarily — home of the osprey as a pair of the birds have built a nest atop a light standard overlooking the football/soccer field. A peaceful summer roost won’t be so quiet in the coming weeks as Clear Lake fall sports athletes begin practicing early next month. Don Owens Stadium is also hosting the annual Lake County Scrimmage in football on Aug. 19.
