A pair of nesting osprey critique Clear Lake High School’s first official football practice of the 2022 season while perched atop a light standard at Don Owens Stadium, which overlooks the practice field where the Clear Lake varsity and junior varsity teams were working out Monday afternoon in Lakeport. With fall sports now officially under way for the 2022-23 school year, the osprey will have plenty to take in during the coming weeks, including the annual Lake County Scrimmage for the county’s football teams on Aug. 19 at Don Owens Stadium followed by the Cardinals’ season opener Sept. 2 at home against Pierce.
