Middletown won two of its three matches in pool play to advance to the tournament playoffs where the Mustangs beat International of San Francisco in three sets before losing to Fortuna 25-15, 26-24 in the championship match. Upper Lake also advanced out of pool play before losing to eventual champion Fortuna in the playoffs. Upper Lake’s junior varsity team beat Middletown in the JV championship match.
