Luke Watkins (left), Shane Poff and their Kelseyville High School varsity football teammates will be among those in action Friday during the annual Lake County Scrimmage at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport. Junior varsity and varsity teams from Clear Lake, Kelseyville, Lower Lake and Middletown are expected to participate in the round-robin scrimmage, which takes place one week before the first weekend of the 2022 regular season (Aug. 26-27). Scrimmage action for JV teams begins at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. Each school’s offense and defense will go up every other school’s offense and defense during the scrimmage.
