Photo from the Point Wildland Fire on Panorama Road and Lake Road which was reported at 5:48 p.m. Saturday late afternoon. A quickly building column was visible throughout the Clearlake area. First engine at scene reported five acres with a moderate rate of speed moving uphill in heavy fuels. After about two and a half hours forward progress was stopped thanks to an aggressive initial attack. Fire crews worked throughout the night working on mopping up and putting out hot spots.
