
LAKE COUNTY— A structure fire on Thursday resulted in evacuations in some areas of the city of Clearlake and the destruction of approximately two structures with a couple of acres of vegetation.
Also as of Sunday morning, there were 8,322 firefighters making progress on 11 major wildfires and three extended attack wildfires in California. Over the weekend, firefighters also responded to 29 new initial attack wildfires across the state. According to CAL Fire, since the beginning of the year, 325,083 acres have burned in California. While firefighters continue battling the current major wildfires, CAL FIRE and fire departments across the state remain prepared for potential more significant wildfires due to critical fire weather.
